Size
[edit]How long do these snakes really get? The Dutch and German pages say they only grow to 150 cm.
- Mallow et al. (2003) state that the maximum length is 214 cm, with females being larger than males. The typical form, M. l. lebetina from Cyprus, does not grow as large as races from the mainland. --Jwinius 14:39, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
- A 230 cm specimen was caught and killed in Turkey in 2011. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/288283722_Extreme_cases_of_colour_pattern_and_size_in_Levantine_Viper_Macrovipera_lebetina_L_1758_from_the_West_of_Euphrates_Basin_Southern_Anatolia_Turkey 212.97.248.36 (talk) 18:20, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

Great article
[edit]Brilliant, a description of a venomous animal with no details of its venom and its action. I'm really impressed.
